Eco Club Meeting 11/6/14
We created a Skill Bank of areas of strength for our upcoming projects. We did a partial site assessment of the yard and around the cafeteria and discovered how many green areas exist that we can revitalize. We also mapped out nearby water sources and trees. Eco Club Meeting 2/5/15 The club met and created a chalk garden in front of the site where we are now planning an edible garden. We will be working with Chef Steve from Cooking with Gabby and the Parent Center to get this awesome project off the ground! There is no end to our greening projects! Eco Club Meeting 2/12/15 Our first guest expert, Michael Calzada, retired city planner for the City of Inglewood came and helped us plan our Native Garden. We begin to design our first sign on droughts and drought friendly landscaping. Subject: Drought Friendly Garden Next week we will do a mash-up of the best ideas for our Big sign. Planting seeds- take home a watermelon or tomato baby to care for. Watch it grow and then look for a Big home for it. Both plants need a lot of space. Eco Club Meeting 4/23/15 Getting ready for Big Sunday and decide who is helping with each activity.
